BigRep has new features for some its additive manufacturing (AM) technology, including the BigRep PRO printer, Connect one-stop software and Flow automation software.
The BigRep Pro contains almost 1 m3 in total build volume in this fully-enclosed industrial printer for creating full-scale large parts. With usage cases across every aspect of the manufacturing road map, the company says this printer gives both engineers and designers the ability to create even easier and faster.
In addition, thanks to its JumpStart feature, users can skip some typical hassles involved with AM production and jump straight into printing. These features include the Switchplate, a removable and flexible print bed surface that is said to ensure first-layer adhesions while being easy to remove after printing; the Lockstage which enables secure extruder mounting; and the MXT Control System which gives users the ability to bypass manual calibration, thus ensuring optimal first print layers.
The company’s suite of software services has also been updated. BigRep Connect is a one-stop digital platform that enables users to connect with all their BigRep printers, creating convenience by boosting productivity and providing enhanced analytics. All printer information is available at just the click of a button, giving users a complete overview, perfect for multiple or batch jobs.
All of the company’s services are designed to provide cutting-edge solutions. Users who have little to no experience in 3D printing or using CAD software, can use BigRep FLOW to replace existing 3D. Whether it's packaging apps, tools apps or factory apps, FLOW is said to give users the opportunity to maximize their potential, creating beautiful products in absolutely no time at all.
The company also enables users to make more with meticulous materials. Unlike many other printers, BigRep’s printers offer flexibility in filament options due to their open-material systems. With a wide variety of filament types — from affordable, general use materials to high-quality, engineering-grade materials for demanding industrial applications — BigRep’s materials enable specialized, large-format 3D printing to bring designs to life in full scale.
