Nano Dimension Develops Advanced Software, Resin and Printers for Micro 3D Printing

Formnext 2024: The Fabrico 3.2 software for Fabrica micro 3D printers is said to deliver improved print times of up to 70%, while the Ataru resin is engineered specifically for digital light processing 3D printers. Also, the Admatec series of 3D printers have the capability to 3D print advanced, complex technical ceramics.

Nano Dimension’s Fabrica software version 3.2.0, Ataru resin and Admatec series of ceramic 3D printers will be showcased at Formnext in Frankfurt, Germany, on Nov. 19-22, as part of its latest software and materials developments. The company — a supplier of additively manufactured electronics and multidimensional polymer and ceramic additive manufacturing (AM) 3D printing solutions — plans to highlight the latest expansions to its additive manufacturing (AM) and Micro-AM portfolio.

Software for High-Precision Micro-Parts

The Fabrica software version 3.2.0 is said to provide unparalleled micron-level precision to capture the most intricate structural details for the production of high-precision micro-parts. The company says the software enables much faster print times of up to 70% across R&D and prototyping applications due to the integration of productivity-enhancing parameters that also improve and simplify overall workflow. Existing users will be able to access the updated software via a free upgrade.

Nano Dimension’s Ataru resin is engineered specifically for digital light processing (DLP) 3D printers. With its advanced formulation, the resin is designed to endure high temperatures and offer exceptional durability and resilience, while its distinctive low-loss dielectric properties ensure superior performance in radiofrequency applications. The company says thesee attributes make Ataru able to unlock new opportunities in industrial-level AM, particularly in high-performance material applications such as those demanded by the electronics, aerospace and automotive sectors.

High-Volume Ceramic Printing

The company will also showcase its Admatec series of 3D printers for industrial high-volume ceramic applications. Engineered for both production-level serial manufacturing, the Admatec series boasts the capability to 3D print advanced complex technical ceramics, making it well suited to address demanding projects, including mass production of silica shells and cores for high-precision casting.

At Formnext, the company will demonstrate Admatec’s capability within industrial manufacturing applications, such as the production of components for semiconductor equipment or process manufacturing, as well as its continued move toward end-to-end solutions for postprocessing, such as debinding and sintering furnaces.
