EOS 5,000th machine installation

EOS, a supplier of AM solutions for industrial 3D printing, announces the installation of its 5,000th industrial 3D printer. An OEM of both polymer and metal powder bed 3D printing technologies, EOS has grown into a leading provider of AM machines, materials, training and services to manufacturers large and small across six continents.

The installation of machine 5,000 is located in Statesville, North Carolina, at longtime EOS customer Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM). Founded by race car driver and entrepreneur, Brad Keselowski, KAM added an EOS M 400-4 to its growing portfolio of metal AM systems, now totaling 18 EOS machines. KAM, which recently became a part of the ADDMAN’s growing group of AM organizations, is a leader of metal industrial 3D printing and has quickly grown by applying creative technologies and innovative engineering solutions that shape the next industrial revolution.

The addition of KAM to the ADDMAN group of companies brings ADDMAN’s mix of metal and polymer EOS machines to 36. “AM is now integral to many industries – defense, space, energy, tooling and medical, to name but a few,” says Joe Calmese, CEO of ADDMAN. “We have long relied on EOS AM technology for producing many highly engineered and complex applications and are thrilled to be a part of the EOS story.”

“Our organization was a startup within a startup industry,” says Marie Langer, CEO of EOS. “There was no such thing as additive manufacturing when EOS was launched with a clear vision from my father. We can proudly call ourselves AM pioneers, but it is our continued innovation and unwavering desire to ensure our customers are successful that has allowed us to reach this milestone. While 5,000 machines are impressive, we have barely left the starting blocks. The possibilities are endless, and I'm both confident and excited about the greater milestones we'll undoubtedly achieve.”
