Inert’s PowderShield enclosure enables users to safely postprocess metal 3D prints, reclaim and reuse costly metal powders, and maintain a strict argon gas atmosphere of less than 1 ppm O2 and H2O during the de-powdering process.
The gen 3 model of the company’s PowderShield systems includes updated design and features for efficiency and safety in de-powdering metal 3D prints. The de-powdering procedure is conducted within an argon atmosphere controlled by Inert’s Argon Gas Management system to avoid contamination from oxygen, moisture or dust and can facilitate other sensitive powder handling and 3D printing processes.
Features include an argon blow-off gun, ultrasonic vibration, unidirectional flow, perforated floor for powder collection and other customizations. PowderShield is easily integrated with automated sieves, powder hoppers and other third part equipment to create closed-loop postprocessing systems.
