Henkel’s latest innovations in its 3D printing materials include Loctite 3D IND6845 high-performance resin and Loctite 3D MED3394 for medical applications. These solutions are engineered to meet the diverse needs of industrial and medical sectors to push the boundaries of what’s possible in additive manufacturing (AM).
Loctite 3D IND6845 is optimized for industrial applications, enabling efficient use across multiple wavelengths, including 385-nm and 405-nm systems. Its TPO-free formulation offers an enhanced safety profile while providing an optimal combination of toughness and heat deflection (HDT) – making it well suited for manufacturers seeking materials to meet production demands. The material produces smooth, detailed parts and offers strong impact resistance for wear-prone components.
The company’s Loctite 3D MED3394 is engineered to endure multiple sterilization methods without compromising functionality. Meeting ISO 10993-5, -10, -11 and -23 biocompatibility standards and USP Class VI certification, this resin is said to offer outstanding chemical resistance and accuracy, making it a reliable choice for demanding medical applications. Following up to 25 autoclave cycles, the company says the Loctite 3D MED3394 preserves mechanical properties and dimensional stability, alongside high feature accuracy and low solvent absorption.
As industries evolve, Henkel says it aims to deliver advanced materials that address today’s manufacturing challenges, from rapid prototyping to full-scale production. With its latest products, the company focuses on qualifying new applications, enhancing safety and enabling a wider range of users to embrace 3D printing opportunities.
“As we continue to expand our portfolio of 3D printing materials, our goal remains the same — to offer reliable, high-performance solutions tailored to the needs of our customers,” says Dr. Daniel Adams, vice president at Henkel Loctite 3D Printing. “We are excited to present our latest advancements at Formnext and look forward to engaging with industry professionals.”
