Triditive has partnered with the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of Oviedo MediaLab to promote research and training programs in Scaladd, an additive manufacturing (AM) platform for high production capacity incorporating Triditive’s AMCell technology. The collaboration aims to increase communication and research in new processes and technologies in metal and polymer AM.

Through the strategic partnership, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will provide AM training in the processability and characterization of polymers used in additive manufacturing to increase knowledge in design and optimization of AM parts. In order to incorporate Scaladd technology in the education and training of new professionals, the University of Oviedo MediaLab will develop specialized training and research projects in AM using Scaladd.

The consortium will provide industrial companies access to hours of manufacturing. It will also share Scaladd production capacity percentages for metals, polymers, technology and services provided by the different partners of the consortium, giving the AM industry access to key technology partners, according to the company.

“We share a common goal to implement new training methods that may be implemented by universities but also to provide the manufacturing industry with new professionals with skills in AM. This technology will help the manufacturing industry to innovate and be more competitive,” says Mariel Díaz Castro, CEO of Triditive.
