Kuraray's Mowiflex Filament Enables Biodegradable Supports
Rapid 2019: The new filament is certified for cold-water solubility.
Kuraray presents Mowiflex 3D 2000, a 3D printing filament that enables biodegradable, water soluble supports for fused filament fabrication (FFF). The thermoplastic material, based on PVOH, is TÜV Austria-certified for cold-water solubility. According to the company, after printing is complete, the support structures made from the material can be easily dissolved in water. Mowiflex 3D 2000 is said to offer low moisture absorption and optimal adhesion to a range of materials including PLA, PA, PVB, TPU, TPC and PETG.
