Addimetal’s K2-2 is the first French-designed metal binder jetting machine, offering manufacturers a solution for producing complex metal parts with precision and speed. Designed with customizable printing parameters and equipped with Orion software for seamless workflow integration, the K2-2 enables the production of high-resolution, complex metal parts at a lower cost.

The company says this solution is optimized for flexibility and efficiency, ensuring that users can meet the most demanding production timelines without sacrificing quality. This method of binder jetting on a powder bed uses a binder to agglomerate metal particles, enabling the layer‑by-layer creation of complex parts with exceptional precision and unmatched efficiency.

The K2‑2 printer is an advanced, compact metal binder jetting machine, equipped with a powerful printhead, making it well suited for research, rapid product development and the production of small to medium metal parts.

“The K2-2 represents a game-changing advancement for industries like aerospace, automotive, luxury and more. Our goal is to become one of the European leaders in metal additive manufacturing,” says Mohamad Koubar, Addimetal CEO. “With the K2-2, we provide a solution that bridges the gap between lab-scale research and full-scale industrial production.”

Key Features

  • Customizable printing parameters for flexibility
  • High-speed and high-resolution printing from 360 to 1,200 DPI
  • 8-L build volume with a 200 × 200 × 200-mm job box for enhanced productivity
  • Wide build platform and a large printhead, covering over half the platform in one pass
  • Open system enabling the use of non-proprietary binders, offering users greater material flexibility
  • Real-time environmental control with visual sensors to optimize the workspace for peak performance

“Our machine’s ability to use non-proprietary consumables offers unparalleled freedom to manufacturers, providing the flexibility they need to push the limits of innovation,” says Franck Liguori, CCO of Addimetal. “We’ve designed the K2-2 to be versatile, cost-efficient and easy to integrate into existing workflows, making it ideal for R&D teams and industrial applications alike.”

Formnext 2024 Live Demonstrations

The K2-2 will be showcased at Formnext 2024 Nov. 19 to 22 in Hall 12.0, Booth E21 under the “Choose France” banner. Addimetal will also host live demonstrations of the Orion software suite throughout the event and introduce the K2-2 to industry professionals.
