Registration is open for the 2018 Top Shops Workshop, the annual event hosted by Modern Machine Shop, sister publication to Additive Manufacturing. Taking place during IMTS—The International Manufacturing Technology Show, the workshop offers a technical program and peer-to-peer discussion of business strategies and practical solutions for job shops, complementing the variety of technologies on display at the show.
The 2018 workshop takes place Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sessions will be held in the Skyline Ballroom, W375 D-E, in Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Each year, job shop professionals participate in the Top Shops event to connect to the manufacturing community and to learn about the tools and technologies that will help them continue to lead and succeed. The event is designed for owners, executives and managers at job shops and contract manufacturers, and will deliver insights into improving every aspect of manufacturing operations. The program provides real, actionable insight that can be taken directly back to the shop floor.
The workshop is an offshoot of Modern Machine Shop’s annual Top Shops survey, which benchmarks participating job shops against their peers on the basis of machining technology, shopfloor practices, business strategies and human resources. In the 2017 survey results, 37 percent of Top Shops (those that ranked in the top 20 percent of all participants) reported owning some form of additive manufacturing or 3D printing equipment.
Workshop registration includes full access to all Top Shops technical sessions and the Top Shops networking room; admission to the IMTS 2018 exhibit hall; an exclusive Top Shops 2018 Report; and entry to the Top Shops Awards program.
Register for the workshop and use code TOPAM for a discounted rate.
