Industrial laser powder bed fusion machine manufacturer Farsoon Technologies is planning to expand its production capacity following a record $15 million in sales order in November 2021. Those financial results include over 40 machines as well as material, service and application contracts.
That amount set a new record for its monthly sales orders. “Despite the challenging pandemic situation, Farsoon was able to deliver strong performance supporting the recovering global industrial demands, thanks to the hard work of the global Farsoon team,” says Don Xu, director of Farsoon’s global business group.
The sales record is said to reflect increased growth across Farsoon’s whole product portfolio in both metal and polymer additive manufacturing (AM). “ We are also excited to see the growth in metal machines in Europe and North America market besides our established plastic system installation base,” Xu adds. “With a strong machine order backlog, we are confident of our positive outlook for 2022.”
That growth is a positive sign for increasing manufacturing capacity. “We are well on the way to completing our new manufacturing facility expansion, with a new dedicated site for increased polymer powder material production in order to offer high quality machine and material solutions to our global customer,” says Hope Hou, Farsoon general manager. “In 2021, Farsoon has been rapidly growing our team from 300 to 450 additive experts globally with increasing investment in technology and development.”
The company says it is eager to support its customers and partners to grow their AM business toward high productivity and best cost-performance.
