APWorks, Toyal Partner on Aluminum Alloy for 3D Printing
The companies will work together to develop, produce and distribute Scalmalloy.
APWorks and Toyal have announced their cooperation in the further development, production and distribution of Scalmalloy, a high-strength aluminum alloy.
The material, which has strength comparable to titanium, was developed as one of the first materials exclusively for metal 3D printing. The company’s partnership with Toyal enables the combination of the trend of lightweighting with the value of 3D printing for optimization of strength and weight.
In addition to producing the alloy, Toyal will focus on potential further developments in the product or production process. The company will also distribute the alloy through its own network.
