Congratulations to the newly launched Society of Additive Manufacturing Enthusiasts (SAME) at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. The startup student-led organization conducted its first sign-up session during the school’s recent Welcome Week. SAME President Kazi Rafizullah reports that over 100 students signed up at this event. Further sign-ups will be held throughout the semester.

Describing the aim of the organization, Rafizullah says, “At its core, SAME desires to educate students, faculty and staff of educational institutions through greater awareness of AM and its applications. SAME will offer seminars, educational sessions, and other learning opportunities to inspire participants to embrace AM in their project designs, research and workplaces.”
