3D printing technology suppliers Stratasys and Objet have announced an agreement to merge. In a conference call with investors on Monday, Stratasys CEO Scott Crump cited complementary product lines as one of the most important reasons for the merger. Stratasys makes additive manufacturing equipment able to produce production parts and tooling. Objet makes prototyping equipment noted for the ability to combine materials within the printing cycle.
