HP Inc. and Siemens PLM have partnered to expand the functionality of Siemens’ PLM software. The expansion is designed to change the way users can design and manufacture with HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology.
The companies’ latest releases are designed to enable users of Siemens’ NX and Solid Edge software to produce full color 3D-printed parts with HP’s Jet Fusion 3D 300/500 series. The printer series is designed for the production of engineering-grade, functional parts in full color or black and white. It supports a range of color file formats, including 3MF. Together, the software and the series enable the creation of prototypes, designs and end-part applications with voxel-level control.
“Our users will now be able to apply the power and flexibility of Siemens’ NX and Solid Edge product design software to HP’s groundbreaking 3D printing technology,” says Tony Hemmelgarn, president and CEO, Siemens PLM Software. “Expanding our partnership with HP allows us to continue to elevate additive manufacturing for end-use parts at industrial scale.”
Stephen Nigro, president of 3D printing, HP Inc., says “Adding the full-color capabilities of our Multi Jet Fusion platform to Siemens’ design and manufacturing solutions creates new possibilities for products and applications. It is exciting to deliver our technologies to customers large and small and to change end-to-end process.”
