NPE Adds 3D Printing Workshop
New this year, the workshop offers a focus on practical applications of 3D technologies related to plastics processing.
NPE – The Plastics Show is adding a 3D Printing Workshop for its 2018 edition. The workshop takes place May 9, 2018, co-located with NPE at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The half-day workshop presents practical applications of 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies related to plastics processing, and concludes with a reception sponsored by Additive Manufacturing.
Session topics include:
- “Multi Jet Fusion versus Traditional Mass Production Methods,” presented by Forecast3D and HP;
- “The Greatest Impact of AM: Conformal-Cooled Inserts,” presented by Linear AMS;
- “New Composite Materials Make 3D-Printed Molds More Efficient and Affordable,” presented by Avante Technology LLC;
- “Specialized Materials for Functional Prototyping and Low-Volume Production,” presented by Arburg; and
- “Influence of 3D Printing on Safety-Critical Performance Properties,” presented by UL LLC.
The 3D Printing Workshop is hosted by Additive Manufacturing in conjunction with sister publications Plastics Technology and MoldMaking Technology. Register to attend NPE 2018.
