MMS, ProShop ERP Hosting Machine Shop Ownership Change Conference Sept. 27
Live digital event focuses on setting up shops to succeed during business ownership transitions.
Digital event will give shop owners information for improving their company value, making the process of business transition much less risky and increasing the chance of success.
Modern Machine Shop has partnered with ProShop ERP to host the Machine Shop Ownership Change Conference at Noon EDT on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021. This digital event is designed to provide shop owners with information to improve their company value, make the process of business transition much less risky and increase their chance of success.
The lineup features more than a dozen speakers, including shop owners who have been through the process and industry experts who have unique insights on company transitions. They will share their behind-the-scenes stories of business sales and transitions.
“As the current generation of machine shop owners ages into retirement, it’s highly likely that many shops will experience some kind of ownership change within the next 10-15 years,” says Paul Van Metre, ProShop ERP founder. “Given the fact that many shop owners have the majority of their net worth tied up in their businesses, the outcome can be disappointing. The good news is that with forethought and planning, it’s realistic to more than double the value of most shops in 2-3 years’ time, and dramatically increase the chance for a successful business transition.”
The agenda includes What Machine Shop Sellers Need to Know; How to Buy a Machine Shop; Planning for the Next Generation; Determining Shop Value; Tax and Legal Concerns; The Private Equity Perspective; and Maximizing Shop Value.
The full agenda details and registration are available online.
Attendees will be provided with recordings of all sessions, access to a directory of machine shop buyers and the opportunity to connect with those companies for future conversations.
