Lilli Manolis Sherman Contributing Editor

Lilli Sherman is a contributing editor for Plastics Technology Magazine. Lilli started with PT in 1987, and has reported on ever-evolving materials and additive technologies.  She also is responsible for PT’s resin pricing column.

Other interesting topics she regularly covers include advances in biopolymers, thermoplastic composites as well as testing & measurement, decorating & printing, and welding technologies. She also enjoys being a regular blogger on interesting technologies and studies that emerge in the news beats she covers.

For the last five years, Lilli has been invited to serve as a participating judge in the annual Blue Ribbon Automotive Awards by the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Automotive Division. 

She has also served as moderator in sessions of PT’s Extrusion and Molding conferences and one on Thermoplastic Composites, which included recruiting appropriate speakers from materials and additives companies.

Lilli also attends and reports on, among other events, on the annual SPE  International Polyolefins conference and the IHS Markit Global Plastics Summit (GPS).

She is a graduate of Hofstra University (Hempstead, N.Y.) and the University of Bridgeport (Bridgeport, CT), and has attended several writing courses at the University of Connecticut.
