Zortrax’s Powerful Trio is a comprehensive resin 3D printing and postprocessing system, consisting of the Zortrax Inkspire 2 UV-LCD 3D printer, Zortrax Cleaning Station and Zortrax Curing Station.
The Inkspire 2 is compatible with many advanced engineering resins, including those previously available only for DLP 3D printers. Zortrax is working with brands such as Henkel/Loctite and BASF Forward AM to ensure properties of parts printed with their best performing resins match or exceed values specified by the manufacturer. The company says this conformity is guaranteed by a thorough, two-stage validation process, where 3D printed models were first tested in-house by Zortrax and then, independently, by the resin manufacturers who made the test prints on preproduction Inkspire 2 units sent to their laboratories.
Test samples were postprocessed using a Zortrax Cleaning Station and Zortrax Curing Station, which means the validation extends to the entire Zortrax resin 3D printing ecosystem. The Zortrax Cleaning Station is a professional postprocessing device designed to remove uncured resin from the surfaces of printed parts. The device uses an impeller-based system to clean 3D prints, which reduces the risk of damaging details. The Cleaning Station supports most popular resin 3D printing technologies, including UV-LCD, DLP and SLA.
The Zortrax Curing Station is a professional postprocessing device which provides UV light exposure required to achieve desired mechanical properties of models 3D printed with photopolymer resins. It features a 300 × 200 × 300-mm workspace volume and 405-Nm UV light. The metal chamber has a mirrored surface supporting even light distribution around 3D prints, a touch control panel, single-color display and an on/off button. It also has a door-opening sensor and a UV filter embedded in the front door.
