The BigRep Pro is a meter-cubed, large-format, 3D printer designed with the industrial users’ needs in mind. The company says the printer is versatile to enable the production of full-scale, large parts, including functional prototypes, factory tooling, patterns, molds and end-use parts.
The printer was designed for productivity throughout all stages of manufacturing. The Pro is said to provide designers, engineers and manufacturers with an easy-to-use, flexible solution to innovate and produce faster and cheaper. It is fully fiber-ready and now compatible with many fiber-filled filaments including PA12-CF.
The BigRep Pro features JumpStart, a hybrid software-hardware solution that is said to enable users to start printing within minutes and skip the step of manual print preparation. JumpStart combines three features to save users valuable time. The first is SwitchPlate, a removable and flexible print bed surface that eliminates the need for glues and removal tools, making it easier to remove large and small parts on the Pro. The second is LockStage which is said to enable accurate, secure extruder mounting with little effort, providing greater precision throughout the entire print. And, finally, BigRep’s MXT Controls System which is designed to simplify the user experience by bypassing the need for manual print bed and extruder calibration, thereby ensuring crucial first print layers are optimal every time.
The company says the upgraded MXT Controls System orchestrates the harmonious performance of all components and processes to ensure fast printing, accuracy and repeatability. It employs proprietary algorithms that improve users’ G-code print files, resulting in better quality such as smoother surfaces, higher accuracy and all-around consistent results.
