“Every successive IMTS delivers a more technologically diverse Additive Manufacturing Sector and presents more opportunities to integrate AM into manufacturing operations,” says Peter R. Eelman, chief experience officer for AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology, which owns and produces IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show, being held this week in Chicago, Illinois.

According to AMT, first-time exhibitors in the Additive Manufacturing Sector of the show include these companies:

Caracol, expert on large-format AM, which recently opened a new facility in Texas for North American operations.

Colibrium Additive, which is not a new exhibitor in the same spirit as these others, but rather the new name for established AM technology provider GE Additive after GE’s split. The company now within GE Aerospace provides laser powder bed fusion, electron beam melting and binder jet technology, along with metal powders.

IMTS 2024 features a larger Additive Manufacturing Sector than ever before, with veteran suppliers alongside startups and newcomers at the front of the West Building. As you browse these exhibitors, as well as booths found elsewhere at the show, keep an eye out for these trends in AM.

GKN Additive Forecast 3D, a digital manufacturer of plastic and metal AM parts in multiple U.S. locations, is also known for its powder metallurgy.

Linde Advanced Material Technologies, a gas and materials expert. The company’s atmosphere control technology aids with (among other things) 3D printing oxygen-sensitive materials.

Powder Motion Labs, a provider of compact precision powder feeders for metal AM.

Würth Additive Group, supplier of AM equipment and materials, and developer of a Digital Inventory Service to simplify supply chains.
