AM Solutions (a Rösler Group brand) offers a variety of postprocessing systems for additive manufacturing (AM), including the compact M4 solution. The systems are designed to provide a higher degree of automation and streamlining approach to the entire process chain for more sustainable and cost-efficient production.
The compact M4 is well suited for surface finishing, such as surface grinding, smoothing and even polishing of small to midsize metal and plastic parts. The compact system design is based on the plug-and-play principle, so that time-consuming assembly on-site is not necessary. The processing unit and process water treatment are combined in one system and thus offer optimal ease of operation, including an easy-to-understand machine control. The integrated process water cleaning and recycling system with cleaning centrifuge (which includes suitable dirty and clean water tanks) requires no extra fresh water and wastewater connection. The M4 concept is designed to ensure process stability and excellent finishing results. It is also eco-friendly and cost-effective thanks to the recycling of process water.
Other AM Solutions postprocessing systems include the C2 system, which enables the chemical smoothing and dyeing of 3D printed plastic parts in a single process, providing a productive, cost-efficient solution with a small footprint that offers high-quality results. The S1 is a productive and cost-efficient 2-in-1 system for cleaning and surface finishing of polymer parts. The S2 works well for high-volume production, enabling simultaneous cleaning and surface finishing of plastic parts in a continuous flow operation. The S1 Wet solutions is a versatile, consistent wet blasting solution for cleaning and surface finishing of 3D printed metal parts. The C1 system removes support/resin from photopolymers fast and effectively because of adapted thermal and mechanical effects.
“Our focus is increasingly on volume production. With our 2-in-1 solutions, we can run two postprocessing steps in one single machine,” says David Soldan, Head of AM Solutions. “This, combined with a higher degree of automation, streamlines the entire process chain and substantially reduces the costs per piece. Such an approach allows us to perfectly fulfill the requirements of customers who are looking for high-volume production with 3D printing technologies.”
